Who are you and where do you come from?
I’m bigdaddycain and I come from planet earth to trash and skate.
How many boards do you have?
Good question @500 should I try and count ya too much work.
What time period do they come from?
The 80s all the way. Best decade ever the art the music the us made products all before we turned in to China .
Do you also collect newer decks?
For sure, everything under the sun i collect. I’m a hoarder like most collectors are.
Why do you collect them in first place?
The art for sure everything about skateboards is a art including the tricks performed. Also they demand high money and resale value is crazy.
What is your most precious deck and why?
My neon green Vision Gator i had since childhood it was mint condition from the skate shop. Now sold for a price I couldn’t refuse. So sad she’ll be missed greatly.
How much did you get for it?
$2000 but I truly miss that deck. And will have to find another in the future or try and buy mine back when I get rich and famous.
‘Of course there will always be a deck that I’m seeking. Its part of hoarding disease every spoiled American has.’
Are there any decks in your collection you got from the actual pro skaters?
Yes I have a tony hawk from lancemountain personal collection signed by him. But no personal riders that I can think of at the moment. Lot of autographed memorabilia from pro skaters though.
What was your first deck?
A vision Gator I got back in 87, back in my prime old skate days.
How do you get your hands onto these rare items?
Personal friends, all over the internet and of course ebay ebay ebay mainly.
Are you selling any boards too?
Yes ebay all day everyday I’m addicted for sure. Skateboards are my like I guess you can say.
Is there one board that you really want for your collection?
Of course there will always be a deck that I’m seeking. Its part of hoarding disease every spoiled American has. So anyway what deck as of now i want really bad would be. Let’s see drum roll—–an og jason lee cat in the hat deck.
What is the current value of your entire collection?
Wouldn’t want to say but its alot. Too paranoid to say. Really don’t like putting a value on things that keep me young. There is zero price on happiness that’s all that matters in life not value.
Is there anything you want to do with your collection in the future?
Would like to see it in a museum one day. But will be for my kids to decide were they go.
