What trigged the idea to start your own skateboard company? I skated since I was 10. Once I realized I wasn’t going to go pro I knew I wanted to be involved with skating somehow someway. I started shooting photos and filming then eventually the idea of owning a brand came about. I realized I could do all these things together and give my homies a platform for their talents to be seen!
Where do you produce the boards? Well we have been using Generator to manufacture our boards but recently have been looking into HLC as they recently opened a factory in Hutto Texas right outside of Austin!
Can you tell us something about yourself? About 7-8 years ago I got into a skate accident at a skatepark which landed me on life support for a week. By the grace of God I woke up 7 days later with no serious damage done!
Proudest moment so far? There hasn’t been one defining moment specifically yet but just seeing all the love we have received has been surreal. From seeing our contest “Bone Jam” grow as much as it has to seeing orders come in across the US from people who have never met us but have followed the brand online has been amazing!
Which city would you consider the skate capital of Texas? I have to say Austin, TX. From all the spots to the whole skate scene out there. They kind of resemble a new San Fran in my opinion.
You are based in Dallas, Texas. What is the local skate scene like? The local scene out here is amazing. There’s so much dope stuff going on and talent out here. With the brand I’m working on trying to bring that scene closer together so we can make more noise in the skate community as a whole!
‘Kechaud Johnson is the Godfather of Texas skateboarding. RIP’
Who do you consider the godfather of Texas skateboarding? Hands down I want to say Kechaud Johnson is the Godfather of Texas skateboarding. RIP.
Last Question. If you could interview any person in the world? Maybe Kanye. I would love to ask him some questions about the industry, politics, working with other artist, traveling the world, and dive more into his beliefs in God.
