Can you tell us something about Texas no one knows?
Swimming in Texas spring water reverses aging.

How would you describe the Texas skateboard scene and its community?
Family, friendly and fun.

Proudest moment in your skateboard career?
I’m most proud of nose blunting horseshoe ledge downtown Austin and the video project I worked on that surrounded called “Cold Brew.” We used to run the Roger card for dinners to compensate all the teams hard work, that was the most fun time of my career.

Most embarrassing or funny?
Ride channel trick tips.

Where is the capitol of Texas skateboarding?
Austin is the capitol of Texas, and skateboarding.

Some Austin and overall Texas pride shining through here. Where does it come from and what does it mean?
I’ve done my best over the last 17 years to foster a skateboard scene in Austin that rips.

What are the skaters in Texas most proud of?
When the weather is under 100 degrees.

Michael Sieben called out your name when I asked him the same question.
I landed a lot of tricks for photo and video with the right people that trusted me to promote their brands.

On that note, how did you turn pro with Roger?
The firing line was just one small piece of the puzzle.

When your video part ‘Firing Line’ came out on Thrasher, has anything changed for you since then?
I did move to California for a few years off and on. Made connections and ended up on my first paid cross country skate trip to film for thrasher which led to a few more paid trips around the world. That only lasted a bit, but it got my name out there, kinda.

Who is the godfather of Texas skateboarding?
Mike Crum, Grant Jensen, Flint Brewer, Elias Bingham, or me.

What are some of the challenges in Texas?
The heat, getting a shoe contract, getting guns pulled out on you for skating.

Last question. If you could interview a person, who would it be?
Jake Nunn for some insight into what came before my time.
