What is your name and where do you live?
My real name GUMILAR MOHAMAD SAID And I live on the island of Java, more precisely in the city of Bandung, Indonesia.

How long have been drawing skateboard artwork and why?
I started to focus in 2010 but the first time I drew on a skateboard maybe around 2017.
I draw on a skateboard just want to reproduce my work more, so people don’t get tired of seeing my drawings which are always on a piece of paper.

Where do you get the inspiration from?
Inspiration may be more on Instagram or other social media but sometimes inspiration comes in everyday life. I often go out of the house and meet many people and exchange ideas. Sometimes ideas and inspiration can just come without knowing the place or time.

What does skateboarding mean to you?
Because I’m not a skateboarder and just someone who likes to draw, maybe a skateboard for me is like paper or a different canvas for me to be able to describe what I can produce that can be enjoyed by anyone, any age in various circles.

If you can change one thing about Skateboarding what would it be?
If only to change the skateboard maybe I haven’t thought about it but I want to show that a skateboard can be an interesting medium for the object of a work of art, and not only a board that is always used. A board with interesting pictures will give meaning to the beauty in it.

What does the future hold for the skateboarding community in Indonesia?
Actually I don’t know too much but what I have seen for myself are many very talented people in the field of skateboarding in Indonesia. But they struggle in their own ways, because the government here is less than optimal to support them going forward and being known. At most they provide land to play but in my opinion it’s not enough. People who have hobbies and have talent are more often supported by brands and more precisely look for support other than government, even though there are many people who are very talented and can carry the name of Indonesia above and beyond.
