WURST

October 2026

On your website it says that ‘Wurst Skateboards’ started as an idea of irony towards the skate public’s reaction towards new brands. What is the skate public’s reaction to new brands?
So the idea came about as a joke towards the industry overlooking actual good skaters and hyping up these girls on Instagram in a bikini riding off a curb getting millions of views, while let’s say this kid Daniel is catching 7ft airs and will krooked grind any box gets 50 views from his homies. I simply said to my buddy Johnny “we should start our own brand and call it iSuck Skateboards and hype up the real skaters.”

Why did you call it ‘Wurst‘? Some German heritage in the family?
Well as stated before the initial name to get the wheel rolling was iSuck Skateboards, but I like word play so the worst skateboards popped in my head and sounded perfect but still didn’t feel like the right fit. Since I’m German and am a fan of hotdogs and brats it just clicked “The Wurst Skateboards”.

Can you tell us something about yourself?
I hate pickles.

Which part of Nebraska are you representing and what is the local skate scene like?
Our factory is outside of Omaha in a town called Blair. I’m from Omaha and the skate scene is amazing, we have alot of local events that the shops and community projects put on, like B&B skateshop and Skatefest Omaha.

Tell me more about your board factory?
Our manufacturing company Graphics Limited is owned by me and I make our boards in house, from laminating raw veneer, pressing, every board is cut on our CNC machine for precision, finish and print. We do everything in house from boards to clothing print (shirts, hats, hoodies etc).

‘Bruce has been known to be one of the best locally, if not further.’

Who do you consider the godfather and godmother of Nebraska skateboarding?
Well, only from my opinion just because of his history and what his family has done for Omaha skateboarding and how naturally good he is. Bruce Abraham.

What is the legacy of the Abraham’s family?
Bruces dad Big Bruce put together an indoor skate park/shop back in the early 2000s and sponsored events, had bands playing shows on the mini ramp. Bruce has been known to be one of the best locally, if not further.

If you could sign up any skater for The Wurst Skateboards, who would it be and why?
Digging this Jaws Dude, Aaron Homoki. Met the guy a few months ago and skated with him and just the impression he left on me really made me a fan.

Do you expect an increase in local manufacturing with all the spikes in tariffs?
Honestly I’m not too sure. Nothing crazy has happened yet, I guess being 100% American made I can only hope things shift for us smaller companies. Were always open to bringing in more brands who want to stay American made.

Last Question. If you could interview any person in the world?
Stacy Peralta. No particular reason.
